I am a big fan of Bunny (Grav3yardgirl on youtube) and when I was watching her videos, this little makeup kit was mentioned! Angelic harmony played in the background and the next thing I knew, I was clicking the link in her description box and was adding the kit to the cart on my QVC account.
The Tarte - Journey to Natural Beauty 6pc Makeup Kit comes with:
1. Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Plummy Rose (a deep rose shade)
This lipstick is another one those "my lips but better color" shade for me, but nonetheless, it's a natural and gorgeous color. It was perfect for my lips. It kind of has a minty feel to it which is nice and cooling on the lips. Pigmentation is also very nice. Super creamy and not drying at all. I wouldn't say it has the longest lasting power though.
2. Lights, Camera, Flashes! Statement Mascara in Black
This mascara kind of gives me the falsies look. I feel if gives me a fiber tip to my eyelashes making them look longer. Just a couple coats is enough to make my eyelashes look like they're not even real, and out of this world. It extends and volumizes. Not a lot of separation but I can live without that.
3. Brow Architect Brow Shaper with liner, definer, and shaper (shade depends on your foundation choice)
Can I just say that this brow architect...is...so...friggin amazing!? I wish it was available, but sadly it is not. Currently, the only way to obtain it is through this collection which is no longer available. I finished the product so quick it's sad, really. The color was the perfect match for my eyebrows and my hair color (at that time. It is brown with highlights at the moment. It used to be black). The definer/concealer it came with was also very nice and easy to blend. Definitely made the brows look much neater. The brow architect also came with a spooley at the end of it which was convenient. (: The actual brow liner has a triangular shape to it so that it can make a nice crisp tail for your brow, and you also don't have to sharpen it.
4. 12-Hour Amazonian Clay Blush in Fearless (A warm pink shade)
When I first opened the blush, it actually scared me a little. It was so hot pink I thought it would be impossible to wear. But it turned out it isn't that pigmented and so it's not as bad as I thought it would be. It's currently my second favorite. It's a shade that would suit fair skin better though, in my opinion.
5. Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage SPF 15 Foundation
OKAY. SO. STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING, AND BUY THIS FOUNDATION. RIGHT NOW. ORDER IT. GO TO SEPHORA, ULTA, WHEREVER.
This is a mouse type foundation, and just as the name suggests, it is full coverage. It doesn't feel cakey or heavy at all, and it's so smooth. I just can't get over the texture of this thing. Like, what is life? Life is this foundation right here. It makes me look flawless while it still looks like it's my skin. I don't usually spend a lot of money on foundations except maybe at MAC, but this is definitely worth it. I will purchase when I run out of this one.
6. Airbrush Finish Bamboo Brush
This brush makes the foundation blend so smoothly, and it really does give an airbrushed look. You can use it with powder too, and it really sets the foundation. It completely locks it in. It's amazing. That's all I can say, really. I'm glad it came with the collection. OH you can also use it with the blush. Flawless application!
Plus a cute makeup bag!
The bag is super spacious, and super adorable. Right now I'm using it to hold my billions of false lashes, haha.
