Products to keep with me, it would have to be these (it's actually been updated).
1. Urban Decay - Naked Palette
This palette just like the Wet n Wild - Comfort Zone palette, is a very versatile one. It works for day and night. You can make a billion different eyeshadow looks with this color selection. You can never go wrong with having a lot of choices. The pigmentation is great too, which is a plus because that means the eyeshadows will last longer and I won't hit pan as fast as eyeshadows that are only half as pigmented.
2. MAC - Pro Longwear Concealer
This concealer provides full coverage. I don't need a foundation to accompany it. It doesn't feel too heavy either which is good for the hot summer days. I have lots of acne and acne scars so this is a must.
3. MAC - Studio Fix Powder
The studio fix powder is perfect for setting the concealer. It doesn't let me get too oily either. I wouldn't say it's the best powder for oily skin. I have oily skin and so a mattifying powder could replace this powder as well but I like this because 'translucent' powders still come out a little white on me while this studio fix powder is the perfect shade for me. It provides extra coverage as well. When I have to touch up, all I need is this. No need to reapply my concealer.
4. Maybelline - Master Precise Eyeliner
This eyeliner has such a fine tip that it's the ideal eyeliner for people like me who like the winged look. There is one down side to this which is why I have updated and changed eyeliners and this is no longer my favorite: you have to press hard for the liquid to come out dark black. If you press lightly, it comes out sheer. I can't press hard when I want to make my wing and so my wing looks sheer and lighter compared to the rest of the line that's on my lid. I have updated and my current favorite is the BH Cosmetics liquid eyeliner. Although the tip is a little thicker, it's not impossible to make a wing. The eyeliner also doesn't smudge at all, and it comes out very very dark. I also chose eyeliner as one of the things to take with me because with or without eyeshadow, if you have eyeliner on, it pulls the whole look together.
5. Tarte - Lights, Camera, Flashes!
Mentioned in previous post (click here).
UPDATE:
I would replace my eyeshadows with a lipstick.
When I first chose these items, I wasn't really into lipstick but now I am a lipstick addict.
With eyeliner and lipstick, a whole look is complete. No need for eyeshadow. (:
