SIGMA | MR.BUNNY ESSENTIAL KIT + two synthetic precision brushes

ALOHA EVERYONE <3
I am excited to present to you, the new babies that have joined my brush collection!

I have ordered... the Sigma - Mr. Bunny Essential Kit (and two brushes from the synthetic precision line)!

This is the box it came in, super cute (:

This is what the inside looked like before I unwrapped the brushes. The two in the left cup are the synthetic precision brushes I ordered with the Mr.Bunny kit.
Below this photo is a photo of all the brushes unwrapped.

Here is a photo of all the brushes with labels on them. Click the photo to get a larger preview!

The two precision brushes:
Precision Angled - P84
Precision Round - P82

All the face brushes in the Mr.Bunny Kit:

All the eye brushes in the kit:

CAN I JUST SAY, THESE BRUSHES WERE THE BEST IMPULSIVE PURCHASE EVER.
The brushes never shed when I washed them. The bristles are very very soft, and the brushes made for liquid products (synthetic precision brushes, foundation, duo fibre, and concealer brushes) are amazing, they don't soak up the makeup which means it let's you use product without wasting any. I personally ordered the set mainly for the large powder brush...and it's a miracle worker... but the rest of the brushes were great too! The large angled contour brush fits right into the hollows of my cheeks and it blends it out so it's a soft contoured look for a natural finish. I really like using the medium angled shading brush and tapered blending brush. They're both really good for smokey looks. They make it look like you took time into creating your smokey look when in actuality, it was super effortless.

The two synthetic precision brushes I got are the BOMB for concealer. I use the round one for under my eyes, and the angled one around my nose. So so so glad I got them. (:

Haul | TONYMOLY (Korean Cosmetics) and The Body Shop

Hey!
I know I've been saying I'd use some products and then review them... but it's really hot here right now, and I haven't been using tons of make up lately.

Here's another haul, sorry I've only been posting hauls recently.

So I discovered this korean cosmetics shop by my house, called TONYMOLY and holy schnitzels, they had some cute stuff! Unfortunately, their face products (foundations, bb creams, etc.) were all a bit too pale for me so I couldn't buy them... but here's some other stuff I picked up!

I got a total of five products:
A spatula (for masks),  an eyelash curler,  a contour/highlight duo, a waterproof eyeliner, and a mascara!

Okay so this is the Backstage Duo Face Maker.
It's a duo with a beautiful highlighting shade and contour shade. The contour shade looks a bit light for me (as you'll see in the swatch photo below) but when I apply it to my face, it's actually pretty dark, and it works amazing! I love the highlighting shade too, although I don't highlight that often, when I do I usually highlight the bridge of my nose with it.

This is the Prestige Super Proof Eyeliner that I bought. The brush is super fine, and it creates the thinnest line ever... but it's waterproof so when I get it on my eyelashes, it dries up really hard and it's hard to remove it. It's a pain trying to avoid getting the eyeliner on my lashes. But I guess that's alright, it means it does what it says.

Up next is the Simple Style Slim Mascara. It's supposed to curl your lashes.
When I applied this to my lashes, NOTHING happened. No lengthening, no volume, no curl. I was very disappointed. That's all I can say. Maybe it'll work on my lower lashes?

SWATCHES:
Eyeliner, contour, highlight.

These are what I got from The Body Shop!
I bought an All-in-One BB Cream and a mattifying face primer.
To start off, just so you know I have oily skin. Very oily skin. But I still wanted to give this bb cream a try just because it's a tone adjusting one and I wanted to get something that would be the perfect match for me. I thought maybe using the primer and then setting the bb cream with powder would be enough to keep my shininess away. BUT THIS BB CREAM IS JUST WAY TOO OILY FOR ME. The primer and setting powder did zip. Also, the undertone was a lot pinker than it seemed so it was overall a big no no for me.

As for the primer, I LOVE IT. I LOVE IT SO FREAKING MUCH. It makes me look absolutely matte and poreless. It's amazing and I recommend everyone to give it a try!

welp that's all I got and for this haul, I won't be rating it. I don't know what to give it.

TARGET HAUL | No7, Botanics, Neutrogena, etc.

Long time no post!
I am back with a quick Target haul!(:
I bought a couple of school supplies and some makeup.

Notebook, highlighters, and sharpies:
I mainly bought the notebook because it had a girl on the cover that looked like me (the curly hair I mean) :b

Skin care products and makeup:

Okay so to start off, I picked out a few skin care (and hand sanitizer) products!
I bought two travel size clean and clear deep action cream cleansers because they were on the clearance shelf for 56cents and I always wanted to give them a try! I got them in this size cause who knows, I might not like it.
Next I got hand sanitizer (it was random and I just felt like I could never have too much hand sanitizer haha).
Then I got the Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Power-Clear scrub. I read good reviews online and hopefully it helps with my break outs(:
And finally, I picked out the Target brand dual treatment moisturizer. It says compare to Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer. It was cheaper and the ingredients were the same so hopefully it works just as well as the Clean & Clear one ^__^

Makeup and nail polish:
From left to right:
Boots Botanics - Colour Adjusting Foundation in 040 Cappuccino
No7 - True Identity  Foundation in Medium
No7 - Beautifully Matte base
NYC - Individual Eyes Palette in 945 Midtown Mauve
and Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat polish in 500 Fuzz-Sea

So I have already tried these out tonight. I have just a few things to say about each of these.

My bare face:

The beautifully matte base:
As you can see here, it leaves a slight white cast on my face.
Now here's the thing about this primer, it DOES make me matte, but lord have mercy, this base is soooooooooooooooooooooooo thick. I had a hard time blending it into my skin. i think next time, I will mix it with a bit of moisturizer in order to thin it out a bit.

The Botanics foundation:

This is my face after about two layers of the foundation.
It does say on the box that it gives light coverage. So yeah, with all the blemishes and scars on my face, I'm going to need lots of concealer when I use this foundation. Another downfall is that this foundation feels super oily when I put it on. I mean I can make it work with a bit of powder... But the good thing is, is that it really does match my skin because when it first comes out of the tube, it's a little dark but after blending it in, it's the perfect shade for me! (:

 The No7 Foundation:

This is also after two layers. This gives a bit more coverage but not much.
The foundation is like the botanics one and adjusts to my skin tone. As you can see in the photo above, the foundation comes out super dark but after blending it in, it's fine. I like the consistency of this one more than the other one, it's light and it's not slick or greasy feeling.

NYC Palette:

The swatch is in the order of the palette layout:
The last two shades are very very pigmented which is awesome, but the two other ones aren't...so I may need to use a white base on my lids in order for the colors to show true.
But whatevs, it won't kill me.

Overall, I liked my little haul! I hope my skin care products do my acne some justice. I really want clear skin, and no matter how hard I try, I just can't get rid of them D:

See ya next time!

Review | Maybelline Fit Me! Foundation

First off, excuse the ratchet background I used for my photos... I don't have a good place to take photos.

Okay, so I've heard many good things about this foundation.
I have read in reviews that it may not be good for those with oily skin but since I'm only oily in my t-zone mainly, and everywhere else isn't too bad, I decided to give this a try.

(With flash)
(Without Flash)

So... since it's disgusting I didn't want to take a photo of it, but just trust me and take my word for it. This foundation clung to my dry skin around my nose and... it was just horrifying. Overall, it has a very oily feeling to it, and it just accentuates my dry skin... :(
I wanted to like it but I can't. I don't know why this does this to my dry skin since so many people with dry skin love it and well obviously, they have dry skin. Maybe it'll work better once I exfoliate and remove all my dry and dead skin... I don't know what to say honestly, this has never happened to me before. Oh and the smell is kind of strong too.

I will update after a few more tries post-exfoliation haha.

OATS OATS OATS OATS OATS | A health post.

Some of you may or may not agree with me, but I believe in the "Sh*t yourself skinny" thing.
Now, I'm not saying you should just sit on the toilet and poop all day or anything.
YOU STILL NEED TO EXERCISE.
I'm just saying you should eat foods that help you get rid of the toxins in your body, and I'm saying eat things that help you go to the bathroom so that what you eat doesn't stay in your body long enough to become fat.

This is all just how I look at things, and my thought process after months of trying different things and months of research.

I have discovered that going to the bathroom to excrete the ungodly thing one calls poop, feces, whatever, helps with bloating. I also discovered (not from personal experience thank goodness) that if you keep these excrements in your body, they start to come out through the pores in your body making you smell like it. This also applies with consuming a lot of a certain foods for example us Japanese people (yes, I'm half Japanese) usually smell like fish... because we eat it so much and it stays in our system so long it starts to make its way through our pores. Just like my korean friend who always smells like kimchi... I'm not being racist, I'm just putting some examples out there and letting you know that the same thing happens when you keep poop in your system.

The foods I eat to help me get rid of these toxins are (this isn't all of it, just some of the recent ones I've been loving):

I eat the fiber one bar first thing in the morning before I go to the gym. I eat it for the sole purpose of having something light in my system to turn into energy while I workout. It's not a lot of calories, which is good. A banana in the morning works too for when you need a quick source of energy (just a note, they don't last very long as a source of energy). Also, it's very good to drink a cold glass/bottle of water first thing when you wake up to get your metabolism going. By putting something cold in your stomach, it tries to counteract it by generating heat which speeds up your metabolism! (:

On days I don't go to the gym and have more time in the morning, I eat oatmeal. I couldn't find the box but I usually buy the one that comes with three kinds in them. It's filling (for me at least) and it's low on calories. It's made of oats which helps get my system moving.

Another option for incorporating oats into your breakfast is putting multigrain cereal on your yogurt, and adding some honey! It's super delicious. If you don't have time to make it before you leave, or don't want to buy the ingredients separately, they sell the greek yogurt with honey and oats at starbucks (but it can get pretty pricey if you buy it every morning). OH! YOPLAIT SELLS THEM IN PAIRS, SO GO TO YOUR NEAREST SUPERMARKET! :D There's four flavors to choose from so have fun eating healthy! (I think other brands have their own versions of these, so maybe you can find them cheaper at your local store?)

This is what they look like:

So you're probably wondering about the almond slices I added to the photo.
Here's why they're there (Yes, I copied and pasted this information but I have read through them):

1) Almonds have an extremely high nutritive value since they contain copper, iron and vitamins and are used as a remedy for anemia.
2) Almonds are also beneficial in treatment of constipation since they increase the fiber content of the food as well.
3) Almonds contain monounsaturated fats and some polyunsaturated fats. They help lower the low-density lipoprotein (the bad cholesterol) while maintaining the high-density lipoproteins (good cholesterol levels).
4) Almonds contain Alpha-tocopherol, which is a major source of Vitamin E and is hence really great for healthy hair and skin (who wouldn't want that?).
5) Almonds also increase the blood flow to the vital organs.
6) Almonds provide nutrients that help to increase the bone mineral density, which helps to strengthen the skeletal system.

and much much more. But I can't keep adding on to this forever so basically the point is, it's really fucking amazing. SO EAT ALMONDS. IF YOU HATE THEM, GET OVER IT AND THINK OF THE GREAT RESULTS YOU'LL GET FROM EATING THEM. <33

Stay fit.

Haul/Review | Benefit - How to Look the Best at Everything & Anastasia Illumin8 with Youthful Synergy Complex Eyeshadow Palette

Recently, I've been buying makeup again (as usual) and it's been really bad. It's all on impulse...

At Sephora, I bought the How to Look the Best at Everything set by Benefit in Medium.
Below are photos of the actual set, swatches, and my face as I apply each product. (:
(Click on each photo for a HD preview)

This is what the outside looks like, when you open it, all the sample size products are lined up inside. You can remove the casing of the products to use this as a safekeeping box!

Here are the swatches:
(From left to right) Hello Flawless Foundation, Boi-ing Concealer, Hello Flawless Powder
I don't know if you can tell but the Boi-ing concealer in 02 has a more pinky undertone compared to 03. Not quite sure why, but I used the salmon/pinky one under my eyes to cancel out my purple undereye circles and the 03 on everything else.

My bare face:

Primer + Foundation:

Primer+Foundation+Concealer:

Everything + Powder:

After I did all that, I just decided to finish off the rest of my makeup (:
What I'm wearing:
Eyes: Revlon - Illuminance Creme Shadow in 710 Not Just Nudes Quad
Contour and Blush: MAC - Hibiscus Kiss (RiRi Loves MAC Summer Collection)
Falsies: Katy Perry - OH, Honey!
Lipstick: MAC - RiRi Boy
(I did my hair and came back and decided to take a stupid pic...that's why my hair looks different haha)

PLEASE READ!
I liked the products that  came in the Benefit set (at first) but it didn't last very long before I got super oily and shiny. I did use moisturizer before applying my Porefessional and I still got super duper oily. I'll give this set a few more tries but for now, I'm not sure if I'm a big fan :/

At this moment, I'd give this purchase

♡♡
2/5 Luvs :(

Next up is my purchase from Nordstrom Rack! I got this baby for $13 (original retail price: $30)!
It's the Anastasia Illumin8 with Youthful Synergy Complex Eyeshadow Palette in #1 Cavalli.

The eyeshadows are super pigmented (I swear eyeshadow 1 is there, my lighting just wasn't the best and I'm pretty tan so that might not help much haha) and very easy to blend. I'm glad I got this, and I may make another trip to Nordstrom Rack to get another one of these palettes (: Even with two, it's still not the price of one!

I've done a couple of looks with these colors but since I didn't use these eyeshadows on their own yet, I can't post any pics, sorry! I'll update with an eyeshadow look that used only these eyeshadows!

I'd give this palette

♡♡♡♡♡
5/5 Luvs!
